Motorcycle Safety
Motorcycle safety classes will be available at Iowa Western Community College this spring. This class is required for riders under the age of 18 who wish to obtain the motorcycle endorsement and ride legally.People over the age of 18 are also encouraged to enroll. The class dates are listed to the right.
You must be at least 14 years of age and have either a driver’s license or a learner’s permit. These classes are provided by ABATE of Iowa (http://www.abateiowa.org/.), which is a motorcycle safety organization. People wanting to enroll must telephone ABATE at 641-858-5001.
NO ENROLLMENTS WILL BE TAKEN BY IOWA WESTERN.
The fee for the class is $150.00. The motorcycles are provided.
All classes are held at IWCC Council Bluffs Campus - Kanesville Hall, room 1318, and meet on a Friday evening and all day on Saturday and Sunday for a total of 20 hours of instruction. Each class has a limit of 12 people.
