BASIC LIFE SUPPORT INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION
Successful completion of this program should enable participants to: Demonstrate performance and ability to teach adult, child and infant CPR and foreign-body airway obstruction according to the 2005 guidelines Know adult learning techniques Demonstrate teaching skills and subject knowledge using AHA guidelines and materials Demonstrate teaching skills in the use of automatic external defibrillator (AED) Demonstrate teaching skills in use of mask and bag valve mask with/without oxygen Pre-requisites New Instructor Completion: Must be proficient in CPR skills according to AHA guidelines Must have a current Healthcare CPR card (for healthcare provider instructor) Must have a current Heartsaver AED/First Aid card (for Heartsaver instuctor) Must have a letter from a TC coordinator who they wi
