Avenues of Financial Support

Grants-

Grants do not need to be repaid. Eligibility and amounts are determined by a student’s Expected Family Contribution, which is calculated from the FAFSA, and their enrollment status.

Loans-

Loans are a type of financial aid that must be repaid. They are awarded on the basis of need determined by the FAFSA application. They must be repaid once a student graduates, leaves college or drops below half time.

Subsidized Stafford Loan-

Interest is paid by the federal government while the student is in school.

Unsubsidized Stafford Loan-

Interest begins to accrue at the time of disbursement. Students may make interest payments while in school or defer the interest until graduation.

PLUS loan-

Available to parents of dependent students. Repayment begins 60 days after 2nd disbursement of the loan period.

Work Study-
