What do I do at Iowa Western?
I am part of the front line. I am a recruiter for IWCC which takes me out on the open road to visit and meet a bunch of new students. This is extremely fun and rewarding because I get to spark the initial interest and excitement about the opportunities here at Iowa Western. I also work in the admissions office helping new students get set up for the beginning of their journey here.

IWCC Stuff

Favorite IWCC Story:
Currently, I do not have a favorite IWCC story about a student I have worked with because this is my first semester as an advisor. However, I did get the opportunity to attend IWCC and loved the time I had here. It was a wonderful experience and I am thrilled to now be on the other side of the desk helping new students as they start their own experience at Iowa Western. 

Favorite IWCC Moment:
Attending IWCC is one of my favorite accomplishments. I truly enjoyed the atmosphere and culture of the school. My favorite moment here would have to be playing in the championship soccer game at national’s my sophomore year. We had an amazing season and an outstanding team. It was awesome to be a part of something like that because it built my character and taught me a lot about teamwork. I am a big Reiver fan, so I cannot wait to get out there and cheer on the many athletics we have on campus!

IWCC Insider Tip:
We have a variety of intramurals to join on campus; anything from bowling to flag football. This is a great way to get involved with the campus life as well as meet new people!

The Athletics pages would definitely be my favorite link because I love to keep up with the different athletic activities and events going on around here. This link also houses the information about intramurals so you can sign on up!

Fun Stuff

What I couldn’t live without:
I honestly couldn’t live without my Blackberry. I know it sounds terrible, but in this day and age technology is vital to survival. And, I am in love with my Blackberry! I have everything at my fingertips; plus I have a lot of family and friends that live all over the country, therefore my Blackberry helps me stay connected!

Community Service Involvement:
I have been involved with Habitat for Humanity a few different times and it is a rewarding project. You get to see your physical efforts and know it is truly making a difference in someone’s life. I also cannot wait to become a part of the Relay for Life team here at IWCC.

Hobbies and Interests:
-Hanging out with my friends and family
-Running/working out
-I also love traveling; I have been to well over half of the states and I want to see as much of the world as possible!

Favorite Sports Team:
I am a diehard Hawkeye fan…through and through.
