President's Message
"Community Support is Vital..."
"Iowa Western Community College has been a proud provider of outstanding educational services throughout Southwest Iowa for more than four decades. The faculty and staff believe strongly in the College's mission of improving the quality of life for area residents through its programs, partnerships and community development. But we cannot achieve our goals alone. The scholarship funds raised by the Iowa Western Community College Foundation play a vital role in offering students quality educational services. Iowa Western greatly appreciates the support of those individuals and organizations that have chosen to join in our quest of building a better tomorrow for our young people."
Dr. Dan Kinney, President,
Iowa Western Community College
Scholarships
This past year, Iowa Western Community College awarded over 500 scholarships to students based on their academics, athletic, or artistic talent. Awards are also available for students who are interested in particular fields of study, are members of underrepresented groups, live in certain areas of the district or demonstrate financial need by filing out of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year.
Scholarships are available from a variety of sources from various programs within the college as well as those from individuals and agencies outside of the college. The current list of scholarships that are available to IWCC students by completing one IWCC Foundation Scholarship Application are listed in the IWCC Scholarship Booklet.
Students are encouraged to search other web sites for additional externally funding opportunities provided by corporate and nonprofit organizations
