Registration Instructions

If you are a current IWCC student, you should go to SOS to register for this class. If you are not a current student, you will be able to register for your Coaching Authorization class by completing the Iowa Western Community College online application. You will need to know three things before you fill out the online application.

1. You will be asked to select a statement that “best describes” you at the bottom of STEP TWO of the online application. You need to select the last statement, which indicates that you are “seeking personal or professional development, with no intention of earning a degree, including coaching authorization.” 

2. You will also be asked to fill in registration information on STEP FOUR of the online application. You need to enter the Dept, Course Number, and Section for the specific Coaching class you plan to take. Please note that you will need to fill this information in, so you may want to print this screen for reference.

The Dept is always PEC and the Course Number is always 101; however, the Section is specific to when the course begins and ends. To locate a specific section, please refer to Course Search in SOS. You will need to select a Term at the top of the page.  Enter PEC in the Subjects field and 101 in the Course Number field to search for available sections.

3.  You will need to make payment arrangements. We strongly encourage you to make payment arrangements within a week of registering, which you can do by clicking the eCashier icon at www.iwcc.edu Payment must be made prior to the first day of the class. If payment arrangements have not been made prior to the first day of the class, you will be dropped from your class and and your space in the class will be offered to another student.
