Cultural Events

Each year TRiO/SSS sponsors several cultural activities. Throughout the school year, our events range from the Ethnic Holiday Festival at the Durham Western Heritage Museum to a variety of ethnic restaurants throughout Council Bluffs and Omaha to a concert at the Joslyn Art Museum. Students love to explore what our great community has to offer. All events are free to TRiO/SSS participants.

Workshops

Throughout the school year, TRIO/SSS sponsors a variety of academic and non-academic workshops.  These workshops are available for students to improve their academic skills and personal well-being.  Suggestions for topics are always encouraged.  Pervious workshop topics have included: Time Management, Test-Taking Strategies, Stress Management & Relaxation Techniques, Organizational Strategies, Transfer Chat, Service Learning, “Living in the Magic of Life.”
