Each semester, TRIO/SSS seeks students to fulfill the following leadership positions. If you are interested in becoming apart of the TRIO Leadership Team, please check back for announcements regarding our leadership opportunities.

We are still seeking interest in the TRiO Leadership Fellow. Please contact Stefanie Marshall if you are interested. All other positions are filled for the current semester. Please check back for openings in future semester.

TRiO Leadership Fellows

LeadershipTRiO/Student Support Services work with Midwest Campus Compact Citizen-Scholar (M3C) fellowship program to provide students with the opportunity to earn an AmeriCorps scholarship by completing community service work. Each fall, TRIO/SSS identifies a specific cohort of students to engage in the M3C Fellowship program. Information about the program is posted at the beginning of each fall semester.

CampusCore Student Leader

The Student Leader works closely with disadvantaged college students within the TRIO/SSS program.  For the fall semester, TRIO seeks to hire an outgoing, academically focused returning student to prepare and lead weekly study sessions for a learning community of 10 to 12 traditional age freshmen.  To be eligible for the position of student leader, student must have completed Introduction to Psychology (PSY 111) and received an “A” along with a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0.  Students who are education, human services, social science, and psychology majors are strongly encouraged to apply. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable leadership experience for a future career in a variety of fields. Preference is given to a student interested in living on-campus.

Academic Coach

Each semester, TRiO/SSS hires student Academic Coaches to provide peer mentoring and individualized tutoring/academic assistance in math and writing. The Academic Coaches play an important role in the program in that they develop peer connections with students and provide helpful academic resources. Qualification for Academic Coaches include 3.0 cumulative GPA and A's and B's in the math or writing courses they wish to tutor. Academic Coach positions are posted prior to the fall and spring semesters or as needed.
