Iowa Western's Business programs give students a jumpstart on that career path. The field of business is popular for its diversity of job outcomes, so you’ll make a wise choice by enrolling in Iowa Western's Business Administration program. Students who complete this program earn an Associate of Arts degree and normally transfer to complete requirements for a bachelor’s degree at a four-year institution; however, many students decide to enter the workforce upon graduating from Iowa Western. Accounting classes are conducted in a computer lab with instructors who have real-world accounting knowledge. Other business classes are taught by instructors with actual business experience in their field. Local businesses provide representatives who serve on the advisory board. This program offers face-to-face courses, but also online and hybrid formats, which will pay-off as you advance toward a bachelor’s degree. Many students, however, land jobs immediately after earning their degree from Iowa Western. This program is designed to give you the knowledge and skills to excel in the 21st-century workforce.

A variety of different jobs are available to business majors with an associates’ degree, with even better opportunities for those earning a bachelor’s degree. Graduates can find jobs in accounting, marketing, wealth management, economic policy positions, financial analysis, and also in general business operations management. Upon earning a business degree, graduates may also have enough knowledge to start their own businesses. Salaries and employment opportunities may vary greatly, depending on the area and type of business.
