Improve your English Skills! ELL Classes meet Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Class starts on April 6th at 6:00 PM. The program begins with a friendly orientation that includes paperwork and placement testing in reading and listening. There is a $10 registration fee. Our experienced instructors offer supportive, hands-on instruction in reading, listening, and speaking English. Take the first step today and sign up!

FAQ

Any speaker of a language other than English, who is at least 18 years old and desires to improve their English may qualify for classes. This is determined by the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems (CASAS) Reading and Listening assessments taken during orientation.

All students must provide an identity document and eligibility document the first day of class. See List of Eligible Status Types and Forms of Documentation.
Students must register and pay $10 per class by clicking the registration button under available courses. If you need assistance, call 712-325-3266 or email adulted@iwcc.edu.
Students are required to pay a $10 registration fee when they register for class. There are no additional fees for ELL classes.
Students are required to complete a minimum of 8 hours of study time each week, including class time, to maintain active status. If students do NOT show sufficient time in class and/or supplemental activity on Burlington English for a month, their Burlington English account will be deactivated.
You will need a notebook, pen or pencil, and a great attitude.
All classes are held face-to-face. If you are a current student, you will have access to our online English program, Burlington English, you will need the following:

*Internet Access/Wifi/or Hotspot
