Must be 18 or older.  Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.  Participant must have access to computer/internet outside of class, in order to complete the online coursework.

4 week, online, self paced required coursework needed to apply for the State of Iowa Substitute Teacher Authorization. Minimum educational requirements are 60 units completed college credits. Ideal for a person without a teaching degree who wants to become a substitute teacher.

This three-week online course fulfills the required coursework to apply for the State of Iowa Board of Educational Examiners (BOEE) Coaching Authorization. The second week of class will include the first mandatory Zoom session with the instructor. During the third week, students will complete the remaining five Zoom sessions. All Zoom sessions run from 6:00–7:30 p.m. Successful completion of this course and the BOEE application process qualifies participants to serve as an assistant or head coach for any K–12 sport in Iowa.
